How Can We Start a New Fan Fest Society That Meets In Person Each Year?

(We’re so glad you asked!)

It requires a show with a loyal following, a group of cast & crew willing to experience something magical alongside their fans and the support and/or blessing of a network. Basically, the perfect storm of fandom and then a whole lot of momentous effort.

What Can You Do?

Reach out & share your thoughts, let us know which TV shows you think would make for a strong, necessary “society” that revolves around a TV show & deserves an in-person event.

Contribute to the growth by bringing people together who love the same TV shows (preferably with a strong female lead) and share how we can engage with them.

Help us make connections with cast, crew and networks by sending them our contact info.

We know we can’t do this alone and we don’t want to.

What’s the Difference Between A “Convention” and a “Fan Fest Society” Event?

So much.

Our events aren’t in convention center buildings and the purpose isn’t to meet a celebrity (although it’s been a much welcomed & celebrated benefit. Our events are way smaller, more intimate, wildly interactive and totally unlike a “con”. We have found value in our version of a “fan fest” and think it’s what makes us special. Whereas a convention may allow you to snap a photo with an A-list actor or the top of the call sheet, our events allow you to experience a fandom through interaction, those cast & crew who love meeting their fans a bit more casually. Some of our absolute favorite people on earth are the details people on set, the fringe characters, the cast & crew that just want to be immersed in the fandom themselves because they are fans too. This isn’t a pretentious group by any means, in fact it is the most lovely group of humans we know.

Which Fan Fest Society Should We Create Next?

We could name countless fandoms we want to celebrate. But we need your help, so we’ll be listening to your suggestions. And, when it seems like the right time we’ll plan another festival for a new society. Hopefully sooner than later.

We attempted a fan fest for fans of Dawson’s Creek, called The Capeside Event, in 2023 but we didn’t have the momentum from potential attendees. We’d love to ignite that fan fest, but we need your support!

There are definitely a few fandoms that seem plausible too—but we need you to rally behind them! Ones we think of include & celebrate strong women, dynamic relationships, ethnic diversity, societal structures and so on. You know, stories that change your life for the better. Ones that make a fan festival experience make sense. Ones that could be propelled throughout the years. Ones you want to be a part of because its beneficial to your well-being and mental health.
